Current Waitlist & FAQ

We’re so glad you’re interested in becoming part of the Gregory Seahurst Swim Club community! Our pool is a special place where families make lasting memories, and we know how much excitement there is around joining. To help everyone understand where things stand, we’ve put together some helpful details about our membership waitlist.

Currently, we have a waitlist of 600 families. How many memberships we have to offer each year depends solely on how many “Active Members” sell their membership.

We share the top 100 families on the waitlist. If your name is not listed there, please hold off on inquiries until our next update in mid-June 2026. This helps us keep communication fair and consistent for everyone waiting.

How Membership Openings Work

• Each year, we typically welcome 20–50 new families. Meaning we had that many “Active Members” sell their membership. The number can vary year-to year. We had 45 to offer for the 2025 season.
• To fill those memberships, we usually contact the top 100 families on the waitlist.
• If you’re outside the top 100, it’s unlikely you’ll be contacted this cycle—but your place on the waitlist is secure for future years!
• You will be contacted by our Membership Board Chair when we are ready to make an offer.
  
  

Timing:
Between March and mid-June, our Membership Chair is diligently focused on completing membership sales and extending offers to families on the waitlist. Our goal is always to have new memberships finalized by opening day in May. However, because our bylaws give each family 7 days to respond to an offer, the process may extend into mid-June before all open spots are filled.

Deferral Policy

We know timing doesn’t always work out for every family. That’s why:

• Each family is allowed one deferral (choosing to wait one year).
• If a second offer is declined the following year, the family is removed from the waitlist.
• Right now, 18 families in the top 100 deferred last year, so those spots may open for others this season.
  
  
  

Keeping Your Contact Information Updated

• It is your responsibility to make sure we have your correct contact information.
• 📧 If your email or phone number changes, please notify us at membershipgssc@gmail.com so we can reach you when your turn comes.

Note: If we are unable to contact you when a membership becomes available, your name will be skipped/dropped from the waitlist.
